Clinical Lead Nurse Complex Home Care
Essex / London
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Monday Friday 8-5pm (some occasional evening and weekend hours)

We are currently supporting a new complex homecare company to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead to play an integral role in building and developing their business.
About the Role
As Clinical Lead Nurse, you will work alongside the management team to uphold the highest standards of person-centred care. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape clinical excellence, ensure compliance, and support a team that makes a real difference in peoples lives.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Provide expert clinical guidance to nursing staff, ensuring safe and exceptional care delivery.
- Act as the primary contact for the multidisciplinary team, service users, and their families for clinical matters.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Evaluate clinical performance, patient outcomes, and adherence to care standards.
Service User Care
- Conduct initial assessments for new service users and maintain ongoing care plan reviews and risk assessments.
- Observe and assess care staff to ensure competency and quality.
- Address emergencies and complex patient needs, offering expert advice and interventions.
- Occasionally provide direct care to service users, maintaining hands-on clinical skills (e.g., tracheostomy changes while signing off staff competencies).
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all services meet Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and other regulatory standards.
- Lead clinical audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate incidents or complaints and implement corrective actions as needed.
Training & Development
- Identify and address training needs for nursing and care staff.
- Ensure all team members are competent in equipment usage, care techniques, and interventions.
What Were Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Significant experience in homecare, community nursing, or complex care settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Deep understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and infection control practices.
